Neil Halstead, Oh! Mighty Engine (from the excellent movie Please Give)

Starz sometimes really makes me giddy with the movies it airs from month to month (and yes when Party Down was a permanent staple on Friday nights it was the most glorious thing ever).  One film currently on the Starz November showing agenda is Please Give starring Catherine Keener, Amanda Peet, Rebecca Hall, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Oliver Platt.  I highly recommend it.  It’s a 2010 Indie gem that definitely deserves hyping on up.  Neil Halstead’s jam “Oh! Mighty Engine” is absolutely STELLAR closing credits music.  And I’m pretty sure Rebecca Hall should be in everything.  Just had to add that in.  She’s without a doubt one of my fave actresses. 

Synopsis:  A wealthy NY-er (Keener) tries to assuage her guilt over her good fortune by doing volunteer work and befriending her cranky tenant and the tenant’s  granddaughters (Peet and Hall).
