Tokyo Police Club, Party In The USA (Miley Cyrus cover)

So I’m not crying it’s just raining on my face (okay I’m totally tearing up a bit) over the fact that it’s the last cover in Tokyo Police Club’s 10 days of covers spanning a decade of stellar music series. One last time let’s recap the greatness, on 8/24 they began with 2001 and that was Moby and Gwen Stefani’s “South Side” feat. Morgan Kibby of M83.  For 2002 it was Jimmy Eat World’s stellar jam SWEETNESS featuring Michael Angelakos of Passion Pit.  For 2003 it was The Strokes’ “Under Control.”  For 2004 it was Kelly Clarkson’s ”Since You’ve Been Gone.”  Then for 2005 it was The Queen Of The Stone Age’s ”Little Sister.”  For 2006 it was Phoenix’s ”Long Distance Call.”  Next for 2007 it was LCD Soundsystem’s ”All My Friends.”  For 2008 it was M83’s ”Kim And Jessie!”  For 2009 it was Harlem Shakes’ “Strictly Game.”  And for 2010 the final cover is of yes time to LOL Miley Cyrus’ “Party In The USA.”  And although this is hysterical it’s also a fucking amazing way to end this series!  Not gonna lie I kind of wish they did a bonus cover for 2011, you know perhaps a version of Rebecca Black’s “Friday.”  Stream all of the covers over at TPC’s Soundcloud page!
